7 steps to Rapidly Increase Focus + Cut-down Time Wastage!
What we achieve in life is a direct results of our level of focus!
Imagine what could be achieve if we Increase our Focus? Imagine how much we could achieve in the time we have?
It’s one thing having goals that you want to achieve but if there is a lack of focus unfortunately they merely stay a pipe-dream. So let’s make a deal, this won’t be any of us… from here on in Focus will be our Power Move.
How? How on earth can we take the Power back? I’m not going to lie, in our ever expanding noisy world this can be tricky but it is totally possible. You are in the drivers side! It is less about the noise and more about clarity around where you are heading and what you are working towards.
I want to keep it real with you… I am the Queen of getting distracted, my eyes flick between my open tabs, I get distracted when my Facebook dings and let’s not get started on my emails or text messages… So I know only too well how much I need to stay clear and focused on my tasks at hand. Otherwise I will legit be running around in circles not achieving anything. Let’s be real, this Queen doesn’t want that to be her life….

Start where you are! Don’t get disfunction about it but understand if Laser Focus is a strength or weakness. Identify where the struggle lies, is it lack of planning, time blocking, lacking in clarity, too many tabs open?
Eliminate Distractions! Distractions come in many shapes and sizes. From- people, technology, social media, emails, texts right through to your workplace, your desk. The people part can be hard to manage especially in certain workplace environments, however it’s something that we need to be aware of and also stay in control. It’s time to reflect, do any of these distractions affect you?
Focus on One Thing at a Time! I get it you have a list a mile long you want to smash it all out of the park, but then where on earth do you start? Believe it or not, just 2 things can help you for this. Time Blocking is the first, allocate the time block required and itemise the tasks to complete. Secondly, shut down the tabs and apps you aren’t using in that time block, this will minimise distractions
Take a Micro Break! Every hour take a micro break even if it is just for a lap around the office, a drink break, get some sun, fresh air or toilet break. This simple practice not only grounds us but it also allows us to reset and refocus. Increase our laser focus & most importantly productivity
Practice Mindfulness! Being mindful and aware, you can do this through by stopping to take a breath, celebrate where you are and what you have achieved, acknowledge where you are falling short and journalling. If we can’t be honest with ourselves, who can we do honest with?!?!?
Fuel your body with the right foods! The power of fuelling your body with the right food is massive. Brain fog, lack of focus and energy can be directly related to the food we are eating. Feel free to challenge me on this- try eating a day or two of fast food, unhealthy food and then a week of healthy food, vegetables, fruit, meat, clean eating! Now measure your brain fog and clarity…
Move your Body with exercise! Exercise has an amazing affect not only on a body but our mind and soul too.. Schedule some YOU time for you every day to get out and move your body. Now I am not saying to go to the gym and life weights …. I am saying to get out and move your body in a way that you enjoy and makes you feel amazing. Personally I like doing this first up in the morning as it starts me on the right foot each day. You pick the time that suits you and make it a priority
There you have it 7 Simple Steps that will not only see you increase your focus but as a result increase your productivity! Remember, they are easy to do and easy to not do! Focus is a funny thing as what you focus on you typically get more of. Think about for a minute, have you ever found yourself focusing on the positive and getting more positive? Likewise, the same works with the negatives.
